About SureTrans

SureTrans focuses on the supply of short to long term contracted and day hire manned LGV/HGV vehicles. Our large, modern, extensive fleet of 3.5 Tonne – 26 Tonne vehicles operate from various locations across the UK including Dartford, Basildon, Sandy, Northampton and Birmingham. Our fleet includes HIAB, (Crane) Box, (Solid Sided) Curtain Sided and Flatbed Vehicles, most are fitted with tail-lifts, equipped with pallet trucks, and all are perfectly designed for either multi-drop deliveries or longer haul trips. All are driven and operated by experienced drivers with a proven track record in the industry.

We are registered with the Road Haulage Association, are FORS accredited, have a upper tier waste carriers licence and offer Cross Rail compliant vehicles. Our vehicles are modern, all purchased outright from factory from new and maintained to the highest industry standards. Our management and care policies ensure our drivers undergo annual safety assessments, CRB checks and regular driver training. Many of our drivers have been with us for more than a decade, and our management team is partly made up of former drivers.

Our History

SureTrans was founded in 1997 in Basildon, Essex with just one rental vehicle, and since then, on the back of quality customer service and a commitment to a different approach to our supply of haulage services, the company has steadily grown into the national supplier we are today.
In the early days the focus was on the supply of 7.5 Tonne vehicles on day hire and contract basis, this has now expanded to include a fleet of all vehicle sizes and types from 3.5 Tonnes up to 26 Tonnes. We also offer Storage, Warehousing and Transhipment via our own facility in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
What is now our head office in Gamlingay, (Nr. Sandy, Bedfordshire) was opened in 2010, and rapidly grew to become the focus of our operations and our main operating depot. Various key industry personnel have joined the SureTrans team over the years, and today we have a solid management team with a vast collective knowledge in the industry, having attracted key people from other prominent operators to work along side our 'home grown' SureTrans talent.
Today SureTrans is one of the few national operators that can rapidly and cost effectively supply long term LGV / HGV fleet solutions on any scale, covering anything from a one off local transport job, up to multiple long term, sign written vehicles operating from a customers site on a permanent daily basis.

What Makes SureTrans Different

Our approach to the transport industry is different in that we do not see ourselves as general hauliers, we are providers of manned LGV /HGV fleet solutions, and there is a key difference. Here at SureTrans the vehicles are maintained, operated and staffed by us, but the vehicle is very much yours (the customer's). Our vehicles are all plain white (unless in the customers own livery) and operate under your instruction on a daily/weekly/yearly basis. If given the chance to offer a price comparison between our services and running your own vehicles 9 times out of 10, we are able to offer an improvement in both costs and service via our LGV / HGV fleet solutions service. The reason for this is simple, maintaining, operating and manning an LGV vehicle these days, with the stringent regulations and the seemingly never-ending compliance requirements, is a full time job on its own, and that's what we do, and have done well for over 20 years.
 
Basically, here at SureTrans we are LGV fleet managers and we have fine tuned this skill over the years to minimize costs and maximize service levels for our customers.  We buy a large volume of new vehicles, which gives us the buying power to source the very best deals for the fleet, we then maintain and operate those vehicles entirely in-house, via our own service vans or dedicated maintenance providers. Every tyre, spare part, service and test, is procured at the best possible market rates. This approvach combined with our commitment to in-house recruitment and training of drivers, gives us a considerable competitive advantage.  

Meet the Team

Nick Vinyard 
Director

Having worked in the transport and logistics since 1985, Nick held a variety of posts within the industry prior to founding SureTrans in 1997. Past experience includes - Business Development Manager for Allport Cargo Services based in Hong Kong and General Manager for Eurobox Lines based in Singapore. Nick continues actively manage the business on a day-to-day basis.
Lee Pyke
Director

Having worked within the Road transport industry for many years Lee has a wealth of industry contacts and knowledge that have proved invaluable in SureTran's development. Since joining SureTrans as a partner in 2010 Lee has been at the forefront of establishing our Bedfordshire base and the development into the company we are today, he continues to guide the company forward on a daily basis. 
James Currie 
Operations Director

James has extensive experience in HGV Fleet and Transport Management, he Joined SureTrans Limited as Operations Director in 2015 to play a pivotal role in our further development. His wealth of transport industry knowledge, combined with expertise in operator licence compliance and focus on customer service, has made him an invaluable member of the team.
Mark Bellamy 
General Manager

Having started with SureTrans as a driver Mark has an excellent knowledge of the company from the ground up, this combined with his organisational and IT skills makes him the ideal person to insure our customer service is second to none, and our vehicles are maintained and run to the highest possible standards. 
David Taylor
Driver & Fleet Manager

David is the most recent addition the SureTrans management team. With a long and proven track record within the transport sector, Dave was the ideal person to head up this new department. His past experience and considerable industry knowledge gives him the skills he needs to manage our driver recruitment, training and quality standards, ensuring the drivers and vehicles we supply are constantly of the highest possible standard. 
 
Michaela Shaw
Financial Controller

Having already built an impressive career in finance and accountancy, Michaela joined SureTrans Limited in 2014 as our Financial Controller. Michaela has been involved in implementing various new systems and procedures which have contributed to SureTrans's development. Her attention to detail and efficiency is vital in running a smooth and effective accounts department, whilst maintaining the high standards we aspire to achieve as a company.
